چکیده

During a diversity study of entomopathogenic fungi in an agricultural ecosystem, two were collected, isolated, and identified based on molecular phylogenetic analyses three nuclear loci (LSU, TEF1, RPB1) combined with morphological data. In this study, one novel species is described, Ophiocordyceps flavida, new record Pseudogibellula formicarum for Thailand. flavida morphologically resembles the Hirsutella anamorph pruinosa by having mononematous character conidiophores same insect host (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae). found to occur simultaneously O. producing white host. Additionally, secondary metabolites both investigated major compound was as 2-[2-(4-chlorophenyl)ethyl]-2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-oxirane. from Ghana Thailand produces 6-methoxy-1H-indole-3-carbonitrile main component. These compounds are known chemical synthesis or products biotransformation, respectively. However, they obtained our genuine fungal first time may even constitute chemotaxonomic markers respective species.

Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from a New Terrestrial Streptomyces sp. TN262

During our search for Streptomyces spp. as new producers of bioactive secondary metabolites, the ethyl acetate extract of the new terrestrial Streptomyces isolate TN262 delivered eight antimicrobially active compounds. They were identified as 1-acetyl-beta-carboline (1), tryptophol (2), cineromycin B (3), 2,3-dihydrocineromycin B (4), cyclo-(tyrosylprolyl) (5), 3-(hydroxyacetyl)-indole (6), bre...

Moorea producens gen. nov., sp. nov. and Moorea bouillonii comb. nov., tropical marine cyanobacteria rich in bioactive secondary metabolites.

The filamentous cyanobacterial genus Moorea gen. nov., described here under the provisions of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, is a cosmopolitan pan-tropical group abundant in the marine benthos. Members of the genus Moorea are photosynthetic (containing phycocyanin, phycoerythrin, allophycocyanin and chlorophyll a), but non-diazotrophic (lack heterocysts and nitrogenase reduct...

A New Soldier-Producing Aphid Species, Pseudoregma baenzigeri, sp. nov., from Northern Thailand

Pseudoregma baenzigeri, sp. nov., is described from northern Thailand. This species forms dense, huge colonies on shoots of the bamboo Dendrocalamus sp., and produces many first-instar, pseudoscorpion-like soldiers. Alate sexuparae were found from the end of September to mid October. Two syrphids, Eupeodes sp. A (allied to E. confrater) and Dideoides chrysotoxoides, and the pyralid Dipha aphidi...

Murinocardiopsis flavida gen. nov., sp. nov., an actinomycete isolated from indoor walls.

Two Gram-stain-positive, mycelium-forming actinobacteria (strains 14-Be-013T and 02-Gi-014) were isolated from walls colonized with moulds and studied taxonomically. The isolates formed yellowish-pigmented substrate mycelium showing no fragmentation. Comparative analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that these bacteria are most closely related to genera within the family Nocardiopsaceae, b...
